Documentary

February 22, 2013 We meet with a woman at the Refuge house around four o’clock after my internship. We spoke with her and met some of her co-workers and found out more about what the Refuge house does for women. February 24, 2013 We met on campus to start logging her video onto final cut pro. We started to write word for word of her answers, and checked logged each time code. We did not finish her entire video because it started getting late. We planned to meet up to finish logging her video but unfortunately our schedules did not let that happen as of yet. March 3, 2013 We met with our first victim outside of Truth Hall and interviewed her there. When she was describing some of the things that happened to her I began to feel bad for her. She told us the traumatic affect this has had on her life, and that this interview was like a therapy session. I couldn’t help but feel a since of relation to some of the things that she said. At the end she read a poem that she wrote to summarize her story. We plan to set up a date to get broll of her in class. March 4, 2013 On Monday we were supposed to meet with our second victim but she failed to come through because of plans. So we plan on meeting with her while in Miami, I am excited about that because we can probably have a better scenery and we will have allot of Broll. March 5, 2013 We plan on logging the footage onto my MacBook Pro so we will be able to edit our documentary without being in the edit bays on campus. I’m hoping that know outside plans hold us back from completing the log from the first video. March 24,2013 For the past two weeks we have been searching for someone to replace our talent that has decided to no longer be on camera for an interview. We have been thinking of ways to film B-roll over the voice's without staging everything. We have been also filming random things in hopes that it doesn't look too repetitive Month Of April April 7,2013 Angie and I have found someone who is willing to go on camera, but we are trying to get in contact with her to schedule an interview. There is a boy who I am interested in interviewing but he doesn't want to go on camera and I am unsure if the person who is putting me in contact with him will be able to get him to even do the interview. If not, then Angie and I have planned to keep the topic about women. I am finding it difficult to stay motivated when it is hard get another talent on camera. April 14,2013 I am excited because we have an interview and it went great, she was amazing. I am happy to say that we are editing now and the documentary is coming alone perfectly.
